Places full of tranquility, cities with a great past and a European future are just as impressive as the idyll and vastness of the landscape. The path mainly leads directly along the rivers of Oder and Neisse and crosses, among other things, the largest flood plains in Europe in the Lower Oder Valley National Park.

3. Oder Promenade

Visit this beautiful promenade and let your eyes wander to new shores. Stroll along many sights, works of art, cafes and restaurants on the banks of the Oder. If you feel like it, you can also make a detour to neighboring Poland, everything is within easy walking distance. Depending on the season, the passenger ships invite you to take a boat trip at the landing stage. And if you are on the water yourself, make a stop at our marina.

4. Frankfurt Leisure and Camping Park Helene-See

There are offers for camping and caravan enthusiasts, swimming, diving, surfing, fishing, snorkeling and playing volleyball. Events take place regularly.

In the camping park there are separate areas for families and young people. With sufficient sanitary facilities, baby changing room, washing machine room and a barrier-free sanitary area, the facility is prepared for all guests.

5. Gertraud Park

Between Gertraudenkirche and the former hospital “St. Spiritus" - today "House of Arts" - was the former cemetery of the Guben suburb. To this day you can still find the tombstones of the poet Ewald von Kleist (the monument was donated by the Frankfurt Masonic Lodge of which he was a member), the Viadrina professor Joachim Georg Daries (created by Gottfried Schadow) and the Heinrich von Kleist monument (created by Gottlieb Elster/Berlin, 1910).

6. Anger

Since it was redesigned around the turn of the millennium, the Anger has been a popular meeting place for picnics, sports and games on the newly built playground thanks to its extensive lawn. The entire complex is surrounded by the four-row avenue of lime trees on Lindenstrasse, which was laid out in 1679, and the two-row avenue of lime trees on Walter-Korsing-Strasse from the mid-18th century. In the north, the residential buildings designed by the architect Martin Kießling, erected in 1923/24, complete the urban space.

7. Kleist Park

The Kleistpark is a green area in Frankfurt (Oder) named after Heinrich von Kleist. The approximately six-hectare park is located in the "Upper City" district (districts 105 and 505). It is bordered to the north by Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse, to the east by Autostrasse, which is part of Leipziger Strasse, to the south by Fürstenwalder Strasse and to the west by Humboldtstrasse.

8. Lenne Park

The Lennépark is a green area in Frankfurt (Oder) that was named after its garden architect Peter Joseph Lenné. It is an 8.9 hectare park, about 900 m long and about 95 m wide, with an artificial waterfall, running water, fountains and ponds. The park, designed in the English style, is the second oldest public park in Germany (after Theresienstein). In the heart of the city, visitors will find a relaxing place of rest and tranquillity, which in summer forms a harmonious symbiosis with the alternation of light and shade of the treetops and the shallow play of the water. Lenné would still be happy for the citizens of Frankfurt (Oder) today.

9.
