The cycle path along the Oder and the Neisse itself is also international and diverse. It begins in Nová Ves nad Nisou in the Czech Republic and therefore at the source of the Lusatian Neisse and then continues to the mouth of the Oder. After 630 kilometers it ends in Ahlbeck on Usedom. Many cyclists also make a detour to Poland from Germany and visit three countries on the way. On the way you go along flat river landscapes and beautiful landscapes.
The cyclists who travel on the long-distance cycle path come from Germany, neighboring European countries and even North America. The Oder-Neisse cycle path is known far beyond the borders of the three states on the Neisse and Oder. Many cyclists do not travel alone, but in pairs or groups. The route is very attractive for nature lovers and people who want to be active on vacation. On the way you meet students as well as artists and entrepreneurs. Cyclists of all ages travel on the Oder-Neiße cycle path – some on mountain bikes, others on modern electric bikes.

If you cycle the entire 630 kilometers, you can divide the route into 13 stages. The 5th stage leads from Guben to Frankfurt-Oder. From there, many cyclists continue on to Küstrin-Kietz in Poland. Some cyclists also set off from Frankfurt-Oder towards Stettin. There are also many restaurants along the way that are well prepared for cycling guests. If you want to fortify yourself on the way or have a cool drink to refresh yourself, you will find many good restaurants such as the Kontor restaurant in Frankfurt-Oder along the route.
The first cyclists are already on the road in March. The main season starts in May and lasts until autumn. Many then stay in Frankfurt-Oder for a few days, for example to visit the city’s well-known museums. The cycle path is very well described in some tourist guides and of course there are also maps to help you find the right path. The route is also very well signposted along the way.
