Sporty on the go in Frankfurt-Oder - your active stay in the hotel in Frankfurt-Oder

Frankfurt-Oder and its surroundings are known for hiking and cycling trips. But the city on the Oder offers numerous other offers for sporty and active activities. Even if you are with the whole family in our Hotel in Frankfurt-Oder are guests, you will find interesting offers – even for rainy days.

In Frankfurt-Oder, for example, there is a climbing hall run by the German Alpine Club. This is located in a building in a former industrial area and has been offering climbing routes on 180 square meters since 1993. During opening hours, everyone can test their climbing skills on 31 routes at a height of up to six meters. The routes are divided into different levels of difficulty. Climbing is also great fun for children and young people. Children and young people between the ages of 8 and 17 only need a declaration of consent from their parents. Current information on prices and opening times can be found on the website of the Frankfurt-Oder climbing hall.

Skating is also great fun for young people and the young at heart. There are even several skating facilities around Frankfurt-Oder. The skating route from Finkenheerd to Eisenhüttenstadt is very popular and skating is also permitted on the Oder dike. Many skaters go there by car and continue on their inline skates or skateboards. And in Frankfurt-Oder itself there is a skate park on Mühlenweg.

On the other hand, it is probably quieter on the golf course of the golf club on the Oder, a full member of the German Golf Association. Although the golf club is registered in Frankfurt-Oder, it is located in Slubice, just behind the Oder Bridge. There you can improve your handicap on a 9-hole golf course or practice your first swings.

Bowling is also an option on rainy days. In Frankfurt-Oder there are several bowling centers such as the bowling alley EuroBowl in the Frankfurter Hütte. Not only can the whole family compete at bowling, but bowling is also a popular leisure activity for groups or work colleagues in the afternoon and evening. Most bowling alleys also have a restaurant, so you can have a good meal before bowling.

If you don't want to explore the Oder on a walk or hike along the shore or on an excursion boat, but want to drive across the water yourself, you can rent boats at the Marina Winterhafen. You can choose between the boat Luisa or the boat Alina. The Luisa is an open console boat for up to four people with 15 hp. The boat can be driven without a license. The Alina is a rowing boat for up to four people.

On the Anger you can also try another fun game: boules. There is a boules sign on the Anger, where boules fans regularly meet. Boule is a French ball game in which two teams compete against each other. The aim is to bring your balls as close as possible to the target ball.

Frankfurt-Oder is an active city to visit during your stay in our Hotel in Frankfurt-Oder viele Möglichkeiten zur Freizeitgestaltung finden. Für die sportliche Aktivität könne Sie sich wunderbar im Restaurant Kontor in Frankfurt-Oder  stärken.
